अभिषेकम् करिष्यामि तासु नित्यम् यतव्रता ।
सह त्वया विशाल अक्ष रम्स्ये परम नन्दिनी ॥२-२७-१८॥
abhiṣekam kariṣyāmi tāsu nityam yatavratā । saha tvayā viśāla akṣa ramsye parama nandinī ॥2-27-18॥
Translation
I will bathe in those ponds daily, fully disciplined in my vows. O large-eyed one, finding supreme joy, I will delight in your company.
हिंदी अनुवाद
हे विशाल नेत्रों वाले (राम)! मैं उन सरोवरों में नित्य स्नान करूँगी और संयमित व्रत का पालन करूँगी। इस प्रकार परम आनंदित होकर मैं आपके साथ विहार करूँगी।
English Commentary
Sita combines ascetic discipline with marital bliss in this verse. She pledges to perform abhishekam (bathing/ablutions) daily and remain yatavrata (self-controlled/dutiful), respecting the sanctity of forest life. Yet, she simultaneously promises to ramsye (delight/enjoy) with him. The epithet Vishalaksha (large-eyed one) is a romantic endearment, reminding Rama of their personal bond amidst the talk of duty. She assures him that she can balance the rigorous discipline of a hermit with the joy of a loving wife (parama nandini), finding her supreme happiness in that duality.

यहाँ सीता संयम और प्रेम का अद्भुत संतुलन प्रस्तुत करती हैं। 'यतव्रता' का अर्थ है व्रतों में लीन या संयमित; अर्थात वह वन में तपस्वी जीवन के नियमों का उल्लंघन नहीं करेंगी। वह नित्य स्नान और पूजा करेंगी। साथ ही, वह 'रम्स्ये' (रमण करूँगी/आनंद लूँगी) भी कहती हैं। 'विशालाक्ष' (बड़ी आँखों वाले) एक अत्यंत प्रिय संबोधन है जो दांपत्य प्रेम को दर्शाता है। सीता कह रही हैं कि धर्म पालन और पति-प्रेम में कोई विरोध नहीं है। वह वन में एक आदर्श तपस्विनी की तरह रहेंगी, लेकिन राम के सानिध्य का आनंद भी लेंगी। यह गृहस्थ-वानप्रस्थ का एक मिश्रित रूप है जिसे सीता जीना चाहती हैं।
