अदृष्टपूर्वरूपत्वात्सर्वे ते तव राघव ।
रूपम् दृष्ट्वापसर्पेयुर्भये सर्वे हि बिभ्यति ॥ ॥२-२९-४॥
Adṛṣṭapūrvarūpatvātsarve te tava rāghav । Rūpam dṛṣṭvāpasarpeyurbhaye sarve hi bibhyati ॥ ॥2-29-4॥
Translation
O Raghava! Seeing your form, which they have never seen before, all those animals will run away; for when faced with (true) fear/power, everyone gets scared.
हिंदी अनुवाद
हे राघव! वे सभी जीव आपके उस रूप को देखकर, जिसे उन्होंने पहले कभी नहीं देखा, भाग जाएंगे; क्योंकि भय आने पर सभी डरते हैं।
English Commentary
Sita turns the table on the argument of fear. She argues that the beasts will be the ones terrified, not her. The reason given is adṛṣṭa-pūrva-rūpatvāt—because they have never seen a being of Rama's majesty and power before. She implies that Rama’s mere presence exudes a dominance that even wild nature must respect. The phrase sarve hi bibhyati (for all are afraid) suggests a universal law: lesser power always fears greater power. She effectively tells Rama, "Why should I fear when the fearful things will fear you?"

यहाँ सीता जी का तर्क अकाट्य है। वे कहती हैं कि वन के जानवर राम को डराएंगे नहीं, बल्कि राम का दिव्य और राजसी रूप देखकर स्वयं डर जाएंगे। 'अदृष्टपूर्वरूपत्वात्' का अर्थ है कि राम का व्यक्तित्व और तेज इतना अलौकिक है कि जंगली जानवर भी उससे प्रभावित हुए बिना नहीं रहेंगे। सीता याद दिलाती हैं कि भय का स्रोत जंगल नहीं, बल्कि स्वयं राम का पराक्रम है ('सर्वे हि बिभ्यति')। यदि यमराज भी राम से डरते हैं, तो ये पशु क्या चीज़ हैं? यह पत्नी का अपने पति के शौर्य पर गर्व है।
