कुश काश शर इषीका ये च कण्टकिनो द्रुमाः ।
तूल अजिन सम स्पर्शा मार्गे मम सह त्वया ॥ ॥२-३०-१२॥
Kuśa kāśa śara iṣīkā ye ca kaṇṭakino drumāḥ । Tūla ajina sama sparśā mārge mama saha tvayā ॥ ॥2-30-12॥
Translation
The Kusa grass, Kasa grass, reeds, rushes, and thorny trees on the path will feel as soft as cotton or deerskin to my touch when I am with you.

रास्ते में मिलने वाले कुश, काश, सरकंडे, सींक और जो भी कांटेदार वृक्ष हैं, आपके साथ होने पर वे मेरे लिए रुई और मृगछाला के समान कोमल स्पर्श वाले होंगे।
English Commentary
Sita specifically lists the botanical hazards Rama warned her about—sharp grasses (Kusa, Kasa), reeds, and thorns. She poetically transforms these hazards into luxuries, stating they will feel like cotton or soft deerskin. This is not a denial of reality, but an assertion of her psychological state. The harsh environment becomes hospitable solely through the agency of her husband's company. It signifies that the 'forest' is defined not by its terrain, but by who walks it with her.
हिंदी टीका
यह पिछले श्लोक का ही विस्तार है। वन में नंगे पैर चलने पर चुभने वाली नुकीली घास (कुश, काश) और कांटों का भय राम ने दिखाया था। सीता कहती हैं कि राम का सान्निध्य उन कांटों को 'तूल' (रुई) और 'अजिन' (मृगछाला) जैसा कोमल बना देगा। यहाँ सीता का यह भाव है कि पति का साथ सुरक्षा और सुख का ऐसा कवच है जिसके आगे भौतिक कष्ट अपना प्रभाव खो देते हैं।
