यः त्वया सह स स्वर्गो निरयो यः त्वया विना ।
इति जानन् पराम् प्रीतिम् गच्च राम मया सह ॥ ॥२-३०-१८॥
Yaḥ tvayā saha sa svargo nirayo yaḥ tvayā vinā । Iti jānan parām prītim gacca rāma mayā saha ॥ ॥2-30-18॥
Translation
That which is with you is heaven; that which is without you is hell. Knowing this supreme love of mine, O Rama, go with me (take me along).
हिंदी अनुवाद
जो आपके साथ है वही स्वर्ग है और जो आपके बिना है वही नरक है। हे राम! मेरे इस परम प्रेम को जानते हुए आप मेरे साथ चलिए (मुझे साथ ले चलिए)।
English Commentary
This is a definitive verse on the philosophy of love in the Ramayana. Sita redefines cosmology: Heaven (Svarga) and Hell (Niraya) are not places, but states of being defined by Rama's presence or absence. She asks him to understand this param pritim (supreme love) and logically deduces that if he leaves her in Ayodhya (paradise on earth), he is actually leaving her in hell. Therefore, the only way to keep her in "heaven" is to take her to the forest.

यह रामायण का एक अत्यंत प्रसिद्ध और मार्मिक श्लोक है। सीता स्वर्ग और नरक की भौगोलिक परिभाषा को नकार कर उसे 'संबंध-सापेक्ष' (relational) बना देती हैं। राम की उपस्थिति ही स्वर्ग है, और उनकी अनुपस्थिति ही नरक। 'इति जानन्' (यह जानकर)—सीता राम से आग्रह करती हैं कि वे सीता के इस गहरे प्रेम को समझें और उन्हें अयोध्या में छोड़कर 'नरक' में न धकेलें।
