अनृतम् बल लोको अयम् अज्ञानात् यद्द् हि वक्ष्यति ।
तेजो न अस्ति परम् रामे तपति इव दिवा करे ॥ ॥२-३०-४॥
Anṛtam bala loko ayam ajñānāt yadd hi vakṣyati । Tejo na asti param rāme tapati iva divā kare ॥ ॥2-30-4॥
Translation
Alas, the world speaks falsely out of ignorance when it says that there is supreme brilliance in Rama like the burning sun (for you lack the courage to protect me).
हिंदी अनुवाद
संसार अज्ञानवश यह झूठ ही कहता है कि राम में सूर्य के समान परम तेज है, (क्योंकि यदि आप मुझे साथ नहीं ले जा रहे, तो इसका अर्थ है कि आप में वह तेज नहीं है)।
English Commentary
Continuing her aggressive argumentation, Sita claims the world is mistaken in praising Rama’s glory and brilliance (tejas). Comparing him to the sun, she argues that just as the sun cannot help but shine, a true hero would not shy away from the responsibility of protecting his wife in the wild. If he leaves her, he proves the world wrong about his valor. She is dismantling his logic that the forest is 'too dangerous' for her, implying that with him there, no danger should exist.

पिछले श्लोक के व्यंग्य को आगे बढ़ाते हुए सीता कहती हैं कि दुनिया राम के जिस तेज और पराक्रम की गाथा गाती है, वह सब झूठ प्रतीत होता है। जैसे सूर्य का प्रकाश छिप नहीं सकता, वैसे ही वीर का पराक्रम विपत्ति में दीखना चाहिए। यदि राम पत्नी की रक्षा के दायित्व से भाग रहे हैं, तो उनका वह 'तेज' कहाँ गया? सीता जी यह सिद्ध करना चाहती हैं कि राम सामर्थ्यवान हैं, और उनका उन्हें छोड़कर जाना असमर्थता नहीं बल्कि इच्छा की कमी है, जो सीता को स्वीकार नहीं।
