Srimad Valmiki Ramayana
सत्कृत्य निहितम् सर्वम् एतत् आचार्य सद्मनि ।
स त्वम् आयुधम् आदाय क्षिप्रम् आव्रज लक्ष्मण ॥ ॥२-३१-२९॥
Satkṛtya nihitam sarvam etat ācārya sadmani । Sa tvam āyudham ādāya kṣipram āvraja Lakṣmaṇa ॥ ॥2-31-29॥
Translation
"All these were kept with honor in the house of our Preceptor (Vasistha). You, O Lakshmana, go and retrieve those weapons and return quickly."
हिंदी अनुवाद
"यह सब सामान सत्कारपूर्वक आचार्य (वसिष्ठ) के घर में रखा गया है। हे लक्ष्मण! तुम जाकर उन आयुधों को ले आओ और शीघ्र लौटो।"
English Commentary
It is significant that these weapons of mass destruction were stored at the 'Acharya sadmani' (the teacher's house). In Vedic culture, weapons were revered and often kept under the spiritual guardianship of the Guru during peacetime to ensure they were used only for Dharma. The instruction 'kshipram' (quickly) reveals Rama's urgency. Once the decision to leave was made, he wished to execute it without lingering, showing his decisive leadership.

यह ध्यान देने योग्य है कि शस्त्रों को 'आचार्य सद्मनि' (गुरु के घर) में रखा गया था। प्राचीन काल में शस्त्रों को पवित्र माना जाता था और शांति काल में उन्हें अक्सर गुरु या पुरोहित के संरक्षण में 'सत्कृत्य' (पूजा/सत्कार करके) रखा जाता था ताकि उनका दुरुपयोग न हो और उनकी दिव्यता बनी रहे। राम 'क्षिप्रम्' (शीघ्र) शब्द का प्रयोग करते हैं, जो दर्शाता है कि वे अब प्रस्थान करने के लिए व्यग्र हैं और समय व्यर्थ नहीं करना चाहते।
