इति उक्त्वा दुह्खितम् सर्वम् जनम् तम् उपजीविनम्।
उवाच इदम् धन ध्यक्षम् धनम् आनीयताम् इति ॥२-३२-२६॥
iti uktvā duḥkhitam sarvam janam tam upajīvinam |
uvāca idam dhana dhyakṣam dhanam ānīyatām iti ॥2-32-26॥
Translation
Having spoken thus to all those grieving dependents, he said this to the Treasurer: "Let the wealth be brought."

उस समस्त दुखी आश्रित जन-समुदाय से ऐसा कहकर, (राम ने) कोषाध्यक्ष (खजांची) से यह कहा—"धन ले आओ।"
English Commentary
After addressing the emotional needs of his staff, Rama shifts to administrative action. He commands the "Dhanadhyaksha" (Treasurer/Keeper of Wealth) to bring the wealth. This signals the final phase of his liquidation of assets. Rama is not hoarding anything for his return; he is emptying his treasury now. The juxtaposition of speaking to the "grieving people" and then immediately ordering the wealth to be brought shows his resolve. He does not let grief paralyze his duty. He is methodically stripping himself of royal power to embrace the ascetic life fully.

सेवकों को सांत्वना देने के बाद, राम अब व्यावहारिक कार्यवाही की ओर बढ़ते हैं। वे "धनाध्यक्ष" (कोषाध्यक्ष/खजांची) को आदेश देते हैं कि शेष धन लाया जाए। यहाँ राम के चरित्र में भावना और कर्तव्य का संतुलन दिखता है। एक ओर वे दुखी जनों को संभाल रहे हैं, दूसरी ओर वे वन जाने की तैयारी में अपनी संपत्ति का पूर्ण विसर्जन करने के लिए तत्पर हैं। "धनम् आनीयताम्" (धन लाया जाए) एक निर्णायक आदेश है। अब राम अपनी निजी संपत्ति का अंतिम कण भी दान करने जा रहे हैं, जो उनकी पूर्ण निस्पृहता (अनासक्ति) का सूचक है।
