ततः अस्य धनम् आजह्रुः सर्वम् एव उपजीविनः ।
स राशिः सुमहाम्स्तत्र दर्शनीयो ह्यदृश्यत ॥२-३२-२७॥
tataḥ asya dhanam ājahruḥ sarvam eva upajīvinaḥ |
sa rāśiḥ sumahāms tatra darśanīyo hyadṛśyata ॥ ॥2-32-27॥
Translation
Thereafter, the dependents/servants brought all of his (Rama's) wealth. That exceedingly large heap (of wealth) there appeared indeed beautiful/spectacular to behold.
हिंदी अनुवाद
तदनन्तर, सेवकों ने उस (राम) का समस्त धन लाकर एकत्र कर दिया। वहां (धन का) वह विशाल ढेर वास्तव में दर्शनीय (देखने योग्य) दिखाई दे रहा था।
English Commentary
Upon receiving the order, the servants gathered Rama's personal fortune. The verse describes it as a "Sumahan rashih" (exceedingly huge heap). The spectacle was "darshaniya" (beautiful to behold), gleaming with gold, silver, and precious gems. This visual emphasizes the magnitude of what Rama is leaving behind. It wasn't a token amount; it was a king's ransom. The beauty of the wealth contrasts with the grim reality of the exile, yet it serves to highlight Rama's supreme detachment. He looks upon this mountain of wealth not with greed or regret, but as a resource to be distributed for the welfare of others before he walks away into the wilderness.

राम का आदेश पाकर सेवकों ने राजमहल के भीतर संचित राम की व्यक्तिगत संपत्ति को बाहर लाकर एकत्र कर दिया। "सुमहान् राशिः" (अत्यंत विशाल ढेर) यह दर्शाता है कि राम के पास अतुलनीय संपदा थी। यह धन "दर्शनीय" (सुंदर) था, क्योंकि इसमें केवल स्वर्ण मुद्राएं नहीं, बल्कि भांति-भांति के रत्न, आभूषण और कलाकृतियां शामिल थीं। यह दृश्य इसलिए भी महत्वपूर्ण है क्योंकि यह राम के 'संग्रह' का अंतिम प्रदर्शन है। जिस धन को संचित करने में वर्षों लगे होंगे, उसे राम एक क्षण में त्यागने के लिए प्रस्तुत कर रहे हैं। यह ढेर राम के ऐश्वर्य का प्रमाण तो है ही, साथ ही उनकी निस्पृहता का भी स्मारक है, क्योंकि वे इसे कचरे के ढेर के समान त्यागने को तैयार हैं।
