स शाटीम् त्वरितः कट्याम् सम्ब्रान्तः परिवेष्ट्य ताम् ।
आविद्ध्य दण्डम् चिक्षेप सर्वप्राणेन वेगितः ॥२-३२-३६॥
sa śāṭīm tvaritaḥ kaṭyām sambhrāntaḥ pariveṣṭya tām |
āviddhya daṇḍam cikṣepa sarvaprāṇena vegitaḥ ॥2-32-36॥
Translation
He quickly and excitedly wrapped his garment tight around his waist, whirled his staff, and threw it with all his might and speed.

तब उस (त्रिजट) ने घबराहट (या उत्साह) में अपनी धोती को कमर में कसकर लपेटा और अपनी लाठी को घुमाकर पूरी शक्ति (प्राणपण) से वेगपूर्वक फेंक दिया।
English Commentary
Trijata responds with electrifying speed. He girds up his loins, tightening his tattered cloth ("pariveshtya") to ensure free movement. The term "Sambhrantah" suggests a mix of excitement and flurry. He doesn't just toss the stick; he whirls it ("aviddhya") and throws it "sarva pranena" (with all his life force). This action scene vividly portrays the Brahmin's desperation and determination. He puts every ounce of his energy into this throw, knowing that the trajectory of that stick determines the future of his starving family.

चुनौती स्वीकार करते ही त्रिजट में गजब की फुर्ती आ जाती है। "शाटीम् कट्याम् परिवेष्ट्य" (कमर में धोती कसकर) यह मुहावरा आज भी किसी कठिन कार्य को करने के लिए तैयार होने (कमर कसना) का प्रतीक है। "सम्भ्रान्तः" यहाँ उत्साह और हड़बड़ी दोनों को दर्शाता है—कहीं अवसर हाथ से न निकल जाए। "सर्वप्राणेन" (पूरी जान लगाकर) दंड फेंकना यह बताता है कि त्रिजट के लिए यह जीवन-मरण का प्रश्न था। उन्होंने अपनी वर्षों की दबी हुई शक्ति और दरिद्रता के आक्रोश को उस एक फेंक में लगा दिया।
