द्विजः सुहृद्भृत्यजनोऽथवा तदा ।
दरिद्रभिक्षाचरणश्च योऽभवत् ।
न तत्र कश्चिन्न बभूव तर्पितो ।
यथार्ह सम्मानन दान सम्ब्रमैः ॥ ॥२-३२-४४॥
Dvijaḥ suhṛdbhṛtyajano'thavā tadā |
Daridrabhikṣācaraṇaśca yo'bhavat |
Na tatra kaścinna babhūva tarpito |
Yathārha sammānana dāna sambramaiḥ ॥2-32-44॥
Translation
At that time, whether it was a Brahmin, a friend, a servant, or a poor person living on alms—there was no one there who was not satisfied by the appropriate honors and the flurry of gifts.
हिंदी अनुवाद
उस समय वहां जो भी ब्राह्मण, मित्र, सेवक अथवा भिक्षावृति से जीने वाले दरिद्र उपस्थित थे, उनमें से ऐसा कोई न था जो यथायोग्य सम्मान और दान के सत्कार से तृप्त न हुआ हो।
English Commentary
This verse serves as the concluding remark on Rama's generosity before his departure. The inclusivity is striking: Brahmins (intellectuals), friends (peers), servants (working class), and beggars (the destitute) were all treated with equal attention to their needs. The phrase dāna sambramaiḥ implies a flurry or excitement of giving; it wasn't a reluctant handover but an energetic, joyous distribution. Rama ensures that before he walks into the forest as an ascetic, he leaves behind a community that feels valued and cared for. It is a moment of total saturation of desires for the citizens, contrasting sharply with the void his absence is about to create.

यह श्लोक राम के दान-सत्र की पूर्णता (Completion) को दर्शाता है। समाज का हर वर्ग—उच्च कुल के ब्राह्मण से लेकर भिक्षा मांगकर जीने वाले दरिद्र तक—सभी को राम ने संतुष्ट किया। 'न तत्र कश्चिन्न बभूव तर्पितो' (वहाँ कोई भी अतृप्त नहीं रहा) यह पंक्ति राम की सर्वव्यापक करुणा को रेखांकित करती है। राम ने भेदभाव रहित होकर सबकी झोली भरी। यह दृश्य अयोध्या के वैभव का अंतिम दर्शन है, क्योंकि इसके तुरंत बाद विषाद और वनवास का अंधकार छाने वाला है। राम ने अपनी भौतिक संपदा का उपयोग सबके आंसुओं को पोंछने और उन्हें क्षणिक सुख देने के लिए किया।
