Srimad Valmiki Ramayana
इति एवम् विविधा वाचो नाना जन समीरिताः ।
तृणमाम्सफलादानाम् देशम् व्यालमृगद्विजम् ॥ ॥२-३३-२४॥
Iti evam vividhā vāco nānā jana samīritāḥ । Tṛṇamāmsaphalādānām deśam vyālamṛgadvijam ॥ ॥2-33-24॥
Translation
Such were the various words spoken by the different people. (They wished for the kingdom to become) a region of predators, beasts, and birds that feed on grass, flesh, and fruits.

इस प्रकार अनेक लोगों द्वारा भाँति-भाँति की बातें कही गईं। (वे चाहते थे कि अयोध्या) घास, मांस और फल खाने वाले हिंसक पशुओं, मृगों और पक्षियों का देश बन जाए।
English Commentary
