पञ्चना या तु लब्धा मे तां त्वम् निस्तर्तुमिच्छसि ।
अनया वृत्तसादिन्या कैकेय्याऽभिप्रचोदितः ॥२-३४-३७॥
Vañcanā yā tu labdhā me tāṃ tvam nistartumicchasi । Anayā vṛttasādinyā kaikeyyā'bhipracoditaḥ ॥ ॥2-34-37॥
Translation
You wish to rescue me from the deception and the consequent sin I have incurred, instigated as I was by this Kaikeyi, the destroyer of good conduct.

इस सदाचार का नाश करने वाली कैकेयी से प्रेरित होकर, मुझे जो ठगा गया है (जो पाप मुझे लगा है), तुम मुझे उससे तारना (बचाना) चाहते हो।
English Commentary
Dasharatha begins to recognize the core motivation behind Rama’s resolve. He understands that Rama is not merely obeying a command but is actively trying to 'carry him across' (nistartum) the ocean of sin caused by breaking a promise. Dasharatha labels Kaikeyi as vrittasadinya (destroyer of moral conduct/tradition), acknowledging that while she destroys the family's honor, Rama seeks to rebuild it through sacrifice. This verse highlights the symbiotic spiritual relationship between the father and son, where the son acts as the savior of the father’s karma.

दशरथ अब राम के वन जाने के वास्तविक उद्देश्य को समझ रहे हैं। वे जानते हैं कि राम केवल आज्ञा का पालन नहीं कर रहे, बल्कि अपने पिता को 'असत्य' के पाप से बचा रहे हैं। 'वृत्तसादिन्या' का अर्थ है 'सदाचार का नाश करने वाली'। दशरथ स्वीकार करते हैं कि कैकेयी ने कुल की मर्यादा को नष्ट किया है, लेकिन राम अपने त्याग से उसी मर्यादा को पुनः स्थापित कर रहे हैं। पिता यह देख पा रहे हैं कि पुत्र का हठ राज्य के लिए नहीं, बल्कि पिता के परलोक और धर्म की रक्षा के लिए है।
