दीयताम् निखिलेनैव सत्यस्त्वम् भव पार्थिव ।
अहम् निदेशम् भवतो यथोक्तमनुपालयन् ॥२-३४-४३॥
Dīyatām nikhilenaiva satyastvam bhava pārthiva । Aham nideśam bhavato yathoktamanupālayan ॥ ॥2-34-43॥
Translation
Let it be given in its entirety. You remain true to your word, O King. I shall follow your command exactly as it has been spoken.
हिंदी अनुवाद
हे राजन! आप वह राज्य पूर्ण रूप से (भरत को) दे दें और सत्यवादी बनें। मैं आपकी आज्ञा का 'यथोक्त' (जैसा कहा गया है) पालन करूँगा।
English Commentary
Rama insists that the transfer of power to Bharata be total (nikhilenaiva), leaving no ambiguity. He urges Dasharatha to be Satya (truthful), placing the king's moral integrity above the king's emotional attachment to his son. By promising to follow the command yathoktam (exactly as spoken), Rama assures Dasharatha that he will not look for loopholes to return early or stay nearby; he will execute the exile precisely as the boon demanded.

राम यहाँ 'निखिलेनैव' (संपूर्ण रूप से) शब्द का प्रयोग करते हैं, जिसका अर्थ है कि वे राज्य का कोई भी अंश, या मन में कोई भी इच्छा शेष नहीं रख रहे। वे दशरथ को 'पार्थिव' (पृथ्वी के स्वामी/राजा) कहते हैं, यह याद दिलाने के लिए कि राजा का सबसे बड़ा आभूषण सत्य है। राम का उद्देश्य केवल वन जाना नहीं, बल्कि पिता को 'सत्य' सिद्ध करना है। वे आश्वासन देते हैं कि आज्ञा पालन में कोई कमी नहीं होगी।
