अदुष्टस्य हि सम्त्यागः सत्पथे निरतस्य च ।
निर्दहे दपि शक्रस्य द्युतिम् धर्मनिरोधनात् ॥ ॥२-३६-२९॥
Aduṣṭasya hi samtyāgaḥ satpathe niratasya ca |
Nirdahed api Śakrasya dyutim dharma nirodhanāt ॥2-36-29॥
Translation
Abandoning one who is innocent and devoted to the path of truth obstructs Dharma, and such an act would burn away the glory of even Indra himself.

जो निर्दोष है और सन्मार्ग पर स्थित है, उसका त्याग करने से धर्म का अवरोध (नाश) होता है, जो इंद्र (शक्र) के तेज को भी जलाकर भस्म कर सकता है।
English Commentary
Moving from legal arguments to cosmic law, Siddhartha warns of the spiritual repercussions. Punishing the innocent is a violation of Dharma (dharma nirodhanat). He asserts that the karmic backlash of such an injustice is potent enough to destroy even the King of Gods, Indra. The implication is clear: If Dasaratha or Kaikeyi proceeds with this unjust exile, they are inviting the destruction of their own power and dynasty. It is a dire warning against the abuse of power.

सिद्धार्थ अब नैतिक और आध्यात्मिक परिणामों की चेतावनी दे रहे हैं। निर्दोष (अदुष्टस्य) और सदाचारी (सत्पथे निरतस्य) व्यक्ति को दंड देना साधारण भूल नहीं, बल्कि घोर पाप है। ऐसा अधर्म इतना शक्तिशाली होता है कि वह देवराज इंद्र के 'तेज' (वैभव/शक्ति) को भी नष्ट कर सकता है, तो दशरथ का राज्य क्या चीज है? यह चेतावनी है कि यदि राम को अन्यायपूर्वक निकाला गया, तो इस अधर्म की आग में पूरा रघुकुल और राज्य भस्म हो जाएगा।
