Srimad Valmiki Ramayana
अतिप्रवृत्ते दुर्मेधे कैकेयि कुलपाम्सनि ।
वञ्यित्वा च राजानम् न प्रमाणेऽवतिष्ठसे ॥ ॥२-३७-२२॥
atipravṛtte durmedhe kaikeyi kulapāmsani |
vañyitvā ca rājānam na pramāṇe'vatiṣṭhase ॥2-37-22॥
Translation
"O you of evil intent who has exceeded all bounds, O disgrace to your lineage, Kaikeyi! Having deceived the King, you do not stay within your limits."

"अरी दुबुर्द्धि! सीमा से बाहर जाने वाली! कुल का नाश करने वाली कैकेयी! राजा को ठगकर अब तुम अपनी मर्यादा में भी नहीं रह रही हो।"
English Commentary
Vasistha’s language here is blistering and uncharacteristically harsh, reflecting the severity of the transgression. Calling the Queen kulapāmsani (destroyer/disgrace of the lineage) and durmedhe (evil-minded) shows his absolute condemnation. He accuses her of atipravṛtte—overreaching or exceeding the terms of the boon. He asserts that she tricked the King and is now expanding that deception to torture Sita, which violates all codes of conduct (pramāṇa).

वसिष्ठ जी यहाँ अत्यंत कठोर शब्दों का प्रयोग करते हैं, जो एक गुरु द्वारा बहुत कम देखा जाता है। वे कैकेयी को "कुलपांसनि" (कुल को कलंकित करने वाली) कहते हैं। वे स्पष्ट करते हैं कि कैकेयी ने राजा दशरथ के सत्यपाश का अनुचित लाभ उठाया है ("वञ्चयित्वा" - ठगकर/धोखा देकर)। वसিষ্ঠ का क्रोध इस बात पर है कि राम का वनवास मांगना एक बात थी, लेकिन सीता को वल्कल पहनाना क्रूरता और मर्यादा का उल्लंघन ("अतिप्रवृत्ते") है।
