Srimad Valmiki Ramayana
न किञ्चिन्म कर्तव्यं तवान्यत्राभिषेचनात् ।
अतो युत्त्वामहं ब्रूयां तन्मे त्वं कर्तुमर्हसि ॥२-४-१५॥
na kiñcinm kartavyaṃ tavānyatrābhiṣecanāt |
ato yuttvāmahaṃ brūyāṃ tanme tvaṃ kartumarhasi ॥2-4-15॥
Translation
Other than your coronation, there is nothing else left for me to do in life. Therefore, what I say is appropriate for you, and you should be able to do it for me (i.e., you must do it).

तुम्हारे राज्याभिषेक के अतिरिक्त अब मेरे लिए (जीवन में) और कुछ भी करना शेष नहीं है। इसलिए, मैं तुम्हें जो उचित/योग्य (बात) कहूँ, उसे तुम मेरे लिए करने के योग्य हो (अर्थात तुम्हें वह करना चाहिए)।
English Commentary
This statement is made by King Dasaratha to his son Shri Rama while announcing his coronation. This verse reflects Dasaratha's affection, fulfillment, and the feeling of being free from his duties. 'na kiñcinm kartavyaṃ tavānyatrābhiṣecanāt' (There is nothing left except your coronation): In previous verses, King Dasaratha spoke about being free from debts to the deities, sages, ancestors, Brahmins, and himself (soul). He believes that as a king and householder, he has fulfilled all his duties. Now, passing on the inheritance is his last and highest duty remaining. By coronating Rama, he can be completely free from all duties of this life. It expresses his peace of mind and satisfaction. 'ato yuttvāmahaṃ brūyāṃ' (Therefore, I shall tell you what is appropriate): Since the king is now moving towards his final and most important task, he expects Rama to follow his words, which align with royal and paternal duties without any hesitation. Here, the word 'yuttvā' is significant, meaning 'proper' or 'justifiable'. Dasaratha is ensuring that his command will be righteous. 'tanme tvaṃ kartumarhasi' (You should be able to do that for me): This is a loving command given to the son by the father. He has complete faith in Rama's obedience, strength, and righteousness. This verse asserts Dasaratha's final wish that Rama must fulfill - and that wish is the coronation. (Ironically, fate led to the opposite outcome, where Rama had to follow the other command of his father - exile). This verse depicts the climax of Dasaratha's life as a father and king, where he feels that his life is now complete.
