तस्मिन् काले हि कौसल्या तस्थावामीलितेक्षणा ।
सुमित्रायण्वास्यमाना सीतया लक्ष्मणेन च ॥२-४-३२॥
tasmin kāle hi kausalyā tasthāvāmīlitekṣaṇā |
sumitrayānvāsyamānā sītayā lakṣmaṇena ca ॥2-4-32॥
Translation
At that time, Kausalya stood with eyes closed (in meditation), attended upon by Sumitra, Sita, and Lakshmana.

उस समय कौशल्या नेत्र बंद किए (ध्यान मग्न) खड़ी थीं। सुमित्रा, सीता और लक्ष्मण उनकी सेवा में (घेरकर) बैठे/खड़े थे।
English Commentary
The tableau continues with Kausalya as the spiritual center. She stands with eyes closed (amilitekshana), absorbed in deep meditation. The phrase anvasyamana suggests that Sumitra, Sita, and Lakshmana are not just bystanders but are actively attending to her or participating in the vibe of her prayer. It shows the reverence the younger generation (and the co-wife Sumitra) holds for Kausalya. This collective spiritual focus creates a protective shield of blessings around Rama, emphasizing that the coronation is viewed not just as a political event, but as a sacred duty requiring divine sanction.
