यानि यान्यत्र योग्यानि श्वो भाविन्यभिषेचने ।
तानि मे मङ्गलान्यद्य वैदेह्याश्चैव कारय ॥२-४-३७॥
yāni yānyatra yogyāni śvo bhāvinyabhiṣecane |
tāni me maṅgalānyadya vaidehyāścaiva kāraya ॥2-4-37॥
Translation
"Whatever auspicious rites are suitable for the coronation happening tomorrow, have them performed for me and Vaidehi (Sita) today."

"कल होने वाले राज्याभिषेक के लिए जो-जो मंगल कार्य (उपवास/अनुष्ठान) योग्य हैं, वे आज मेरे और वैदेही (सीता) के लिए करवाइए।"
English Commentary
Rama explicitly requests the initiation of the pre-coronation rituals (mangalani). By asking his mother to orchestrate these ("have them performed"), he honors her authority in religious and domestic matters. Crucially, he includes Sita (Vaidehi) in this request. In Vedic kingship, the Queen is an essential partner in the coronation (Pattabhisheka); the King cannot be consecrated without her. Rama’s specific mention of her ensures she is prepared for the arduous fasting and vigils required for the ceremony the next day.

राम यहाँ व्यावहारिक और धार्मिक पक्ष की बात करते हैं। वे जानते हैं कि राज्याभिषेक से पहले 'उपवास' (fasting) और 'जागरण' जैसे नियम होते हैं। वे माँ से आग्रह करते हैं कि वे ये रस्में शुरू करवाएं। महत्वपूर्ण बात यह है कि राम इसमें सीता ('वैदेही') को भी शामिल करते हैं। राजा और रानी सह-धर्मचारिणी होते हैं; राज्याभिषेक केवल राम का नहीं, सीता का भी है। राम का सीता को 'वैदेही' (विदेह राज की पुत्री) कहना उनके कुल के सम्मान को भी दर्शाता है। राम अपनी माँ को यह अधिकार देते हैं कि वे ही इन अनुष्ठानों का निर्देशन करें।
