कल्याणे बत न्क्षत्रे मयि जातोऽसि पुत्रक ।
येन त्वया दशरथो गुणैराराधितः पिता ॥२-४-४०॥
Kalyāṇe bata nkṣatre mayi jāto’si putraka |
Yena tvayā daśaratho guṇairārādhitaḥ pitā ॥2-4-40॥

"Alas (with joy)! O dear son, you were born to me under an auspicious constellation, through which (your birth) your Father Dasharatha has been pleased and honored by your virtues."
