Srimad Valmiki Ramayana
अब्रवील् लक्ष्मणो रामम् साक्षात् धर्मम् इव स्थितम् ।
रोचते मे महा प्राज्ञ क्षिप्रम् आरुह्यताम् इति ॥ ॥२-४६-२४॥
Abravīl lakṣmaṇo rāmam sākṣāt dharmam iva sthitam । Rocate me mahā prājña kṣipram āruhyatām iti ॥ ॥2-46-24॥
Translation
Then Lakshmana spoke to Rama, who stood like Dharma personified: "O wise one! This (plan) appeals to me; let us mount (the chariot) quickly."
हिंदी अनुवाद
तब लक्ष्मण ने साक्षात धर्म के समान स्थित राम से कहा—"हे महाप्राज्ञ! मुझे यह (विचार) रुचता है (पसंद है); शीघ्रता से (रथ पर) चढ़िये।"
English Commentary
Lakshmana instantly agrees with Rama's logic. He sees Rama not just as a brother but as Sakshat Dharmam (Dharma personified). Recognizing the wisdom (Maha-prajna) in Rama's plan to save the citizens from further pain, Lakshmana urges immediate action. His prompt agreement ("let us mount quickly") shows his readiness to follow Rama's lead and his desire to move past this emotional deadlock with the citizens.

लक्ष्मण राम को 'साक्षात धर्म' के रूप में देखते हैं। राम का यह निर्णय भावनात्मक रूप से कठिन लेकिन धर्म की दृष्टि से सही है, और लक्ष्मण इसे तुरंत समझ जाते हैं। 'महाप्राज्ञ' (महान बुद्धिमान) संबोधन बताता है कि लक्ष्मण राम की दूरदर्शिता का सम्मान करते हैं। लक्ष्मण भी चाहते हैं कि यह भावनात्मक अवरोध जल्दी समाप्त हो ताकि वे वन की ओर बढ़ सकें। सहमति मिलते ही योजना कार्यान्वित होती है।
