स राजभवनप्रख्यात्तस्माद्रामनिवेशनात् ।
निर्गत्य ददृशे मार्गं वसिष्ठो जनसंवृतम् ॥२-५-१५॥
sa rājabhavanaprakhyāttasmādrāmaniveśanāt |
nirgatya dadṛśe mārgaṃ vasiṣṭho janasaṃvṛtam ॥2-5-15॥
Translation
That Vasiṣṭha, having emerged from Rāma's residence which resembled the royal palace, saw the road crowded with people.

वह वसिष्ठ (महर्षि), राजभवन के समान दिखने वाले श्रीराम के उस निवास से बाहर निकलकर, लोगों से भरे हुए मार्ग को देखा।
English Commentary
This verse describes Maharshi Vasiṣṭha's observation as he leaves Rāma's home to return to the main palace. It underscores the profound public excitement surrounding the coronation announcement. Rāma's residence is deliberately described as rājabhavanaprakhyāt ('resembling the royal palace'). This detail confirms that Rāma, as the eldest and most virtuous prince, enjoyed facilities and status commensurate with future kingship, even before the formal anointing. Vasiṣṭha, upon leaving, observes that the entire street (mārgaṃ) is janasaṃvṛtam ('crowded with people'). This visual emphasizes the swiftness with which the joyful news spread throughout Ayodhyā.
