Srimad Valmiki Ramayana
अश्वानाम् प्रतिपानम् च खादनम् चैव सो अन्वशात् ।
गुहः तत्र एव पुरुषाम्स् त्वरितम् दीयताम् इति ॥ ॥२-५०-४७॥
aśvānām pratipānam ca khādanam caiva so anvaśāt । guhaḥ tatra eva puruṣāṁs tvaritam dīyatām iti ॥ ॥2-50-47॥
Translation
Guha then and there ordered his men: "Let water and fodder be given to the horses quickly."
हिंदी अनुवाद
तब गुह ने वहीं अपने सेवकों को तुरंत आज्ञा दी कि घोड़ों को पीने का पानी और चारा (शीघ्र) दिया जाए।
English Commentary
Guha demonstrates immediate obedience and efficiency. As soon as Rama expresses a specific need (fodder for horses), Guha acts without delay (tvaritam). This verse highlights the quality of a true devotee or servant: prompt execution of the master's will without argument or hesitation. Guha understands that the best way to please Rama at this moment is not to press him to eat royal food, but to care for the horses as requested.

गुह की तत्परता यहाँ दर्शनीय है। राम की इच्छा व्यक्त होते ही, बिना किसी विलंब के उन्होंने आज्ञा दी। 'त्वरितम्' (तुरंत) शब्द सेवक की अपने स्वामी के प्रति जागरूकता को दिखाता है। गुह ने यह बहस नहीं की कि राम को भी खाना चाहिए, बल्कि राम की आज्ञा को शिरोधार्य कर वही किया जो राम चाहते थे। सेवा का वास्तविक अर्थ अपनी मर्जी थोपना नहीं, बल्कि सेव्य (जिसकी सेवा की जा रही है) की इच्छा पूरी करना है।
