सो अहम् प्रिय सखम् रामम् शयानम् सह सीतया ।
रक्षिष्यामि धनुष् पाणिः सर्वतः ज्ञातिभिः सह ॥ ॥२-५१-६॥
so aham priya sakham rāmam śayānam saha sītayā । rakṣiṣyāmi dhanuṣ pāṇiḥ sarvataḥ jñātibhih saha ॥ ॥2-51-6॥
Translation
"So, I, with bow in hand, along with my kinsmen, shall protect my dear friend Rama, who is sleeping with Sita, from all sides."

"अतः मैं अपने प्रिय सखा राम की, जो सीता के साथ सो रहे हैं, धनुष हाथ में लेकर अपने जाति-भाइयों (सगे-संबंधियों) के साथ सब ओर से रक्षा करूँगा।"
English Commentary
Reaffirming his commitment, Guha positions himself as the primary protector for the night. Calling Rama his "dear friend," he blends reverence with intimacy. He assures Lakshmana that he is not alone; his entire clan (jnatibhih) is mobilized to create a perimeter around the sleeping couple. The image of Guha standing "bow in hand" is symbolic of his warrior dharma being utilized for the highest cause—protecting the Divine.
हिंदी टीका
गुह यहाँ अपनी प्रतिज्ञा दोहराते हैं। वे राम को 'प्रिय सखम्' (प्यारा मित्र) कहते हैं। उन्होंने अपनी पूरी सेना या समुदाय (ज्ञातिभिः) को सुरक्षा में लगा दिया है। 'सर्वतः' (सब ओर से) शब्द यह बताता है कि सुरक्षा चक्र अभेद्य है। गुह लक्ष्मण को आश्वस्त कर रहे हैं कि जंगल का चप्पा-चप्पा उनके पहरे में है, इसलिए लक्ष्मण को चिंता करने की कोई आवश्यकता नहीं है।
