न हि मे अविदितम् किम्चित् वने अस्मिमः चरतः सदा ।
चतुर् अन्गम् हि अपि बलम् सुमहत् प्रसहेमहि ॥ ॥२-५१-७॥
na hi me aviditam kimcit vane asmimaḥ carataḥ sadā । catur angam hi api balam sumahat prasahemahi ॥ ॥2-51-7॥
Translation
"Since I wander in this forest always, nothing here is unknown to me. We can withstand even a vast four-limbed army."

"मैं इस वन में सदा विचरण करता हूँ, इसलिए यहाँ की कोई भी बात मुझसे छिपी नहीं है। हम विशाल चतुरंगिणी सेना (हाथी, घोड़ा, रथ, पैदल) का भी सामना करने में समर्थ हैं।"
English Commentary
Guha speaks with the confidence of a ruler on his home turf. He asserts total situational awareness (na hi me aviditam) because he is a forest dweller. He claims that his forces are capable of repelling a Chaturangini Sena (the traditional four-limbed army of elephants, chariots, cavalry, and infantry). This is a strategic reassurance to Lakshmana: Guha is not just a well-wisher but a powerful ally capable of defending Rama against any military threat that might pursue them from Ayodhya or elsewhere.

गुह यहाँ अपने 'क्षेत्राधिकार' (territorial advantage) का वर्णन कर रहे हैं। वन उनका घर है, और वे गुरिल्ला युद्ध (छापामार युद्ध) में निपुण हैं। वे लक्ष्मण को विश्वास दिलाते हैं कि यदि भरत या कोई शत्रु विशाल सेना लेकर भी आ जाए, तो भी निषादराज की सेना उन्हें रोक सकती है। यह आत्मविश्वास लक्ष्मण की चिंता कम करने के लिए है। गुह की शक्ति केवल भावुकता नहीं है, उनके पास वास्तविक सैन्य बल भी है।
