Srimad Valmiki Ramayana
अथोवाच महातेजा रामो गुहमिदम् वचः ।
कृतकामोऽस्मि भवता शीघ्रमारोप्यतामिति ॥ ॥२-५२-१०॥
Atho vāca mahātejā rāmo guham idam vacaḥ |
Kṛtakāmo'smi bhavatā śīghram āropyatām iti ॥2-52-10॥
Translation
Then the highly resplendent Rama spoke these words to Guha: "My desire has been fulfilled by you. Let (the luggage) be loaded quickly."
हिंदी अनुवाद
तब महातेजस्वी राम ने गुह से यह वचन कहा— "आपने मेरी अभिलाषा पूरी कर दी है (मेरा कार्य सिद्ध किया)। अब शीघ्र ही (सामान) नाव पर चढ़वा दीजिए।"
English Commentary
Rama responds with grace and efficiency. He acknowledges Guha's service by saying Kṛtakāmo'smi—essentially, "You have served my purpose well." This validates Guha's efforts. The descriptor Mahātejā (great resplendence/energy) suggests that Rama retains his regal aura even in exile. His command to load the boat quickly (śīghram āropyatām) shows his decisiveness. He wishes to cross the river without delay, perhaps to shorten the pain of parting for those standing on the bank or to prevent any emotional hesitation from holding them back.

राम यहाँ 'कृतकामोऽस्मि' (मेरी कामना पूरी हुई / मैं कृतार्थ हुआ) कहकर गुह के प्रति आभार व्यक्त करते हैं। राम को 'महातेजा' कहा गया है, जो संकट काल में भी उनकी मानसिक दृढ़ता को दर्शाता है। वे भावुकता में समय नष्ट नहीं करते, बल्कि तुरंत कार्यवाई का आदेश देते हैं—'शीघ्रम् आरोप्यताम्' (जल्दी चढ़ाया जाए)। यहाँ 'आरोप्यताम्' का अर्थ है कि जो भी अस्त्र-शस्त्र, सीता के वस्त्र-आभूषण, और कंद-मूल खोदने के औजार वे साथ लाए हैं, उन्हें सावधानीपूर्वक नाव पर रखा जाए। राम अब अयोध्या से विदा लेने के लिए पूरी तरह तत्पर हैं।
