भरतः च अपि वक्तव्यो यथा राजनि वर्तसे ।
तथा मातृषु वर्तेथाः सर्वास्व् एव अविशेषतः ॥२-५२-३४॥
bharataḥ ca api vaktavyo yathā rājani vartase |
tathā mātṛṣu vartethāḥ sarvāsv eva aviśeṣataḥ ॥2-52-34॥
Translation
And Bharata should also be told (by you): "Just as you conduct yourself towards the King, so should you conduct yourself towards all the mothers, without distinction."
हिंदी अनुवाद
और (मेरी ओर से) भरत से भी कहना कि जैसा व्यवहार तुम राजा (पिता दशरथ) के प्रति करते हो, वैसा ही व्यवहार (समान आदर) सभी माताओं के प्रति बिना किसी भेदभाव के करना।
English Commentary
Ram now dictates a message for the future ruler, Bharata. Anticipating that Bharata might harbor resentment toward his own mother Kaikeyi for her role in the exile, or show preferential treatment to Kausalya out of guilt, Ram intervenes preemptively. By using the word 'aviśeṣataḥ' (without distinction), Ram instructs Bharata to accord the same reverence to all mothers as he does to the King. Ram aims to preserve the sanctity of the family unit, ensuring that political upheaval does not translate into domestic disrespect or factionalism within the queens' quarters.

राम अब भावी राजा भरत के लिए संदेश दे रहे हैं। राम जानते हैं कि कैकेयी के कृत्य के कारण भरत अपनी माँ से घृणा कर सकते हैं या कौशल्या को अधिक आदर दे सकते हैं। राम 'अविशेषतः' (बिना अंतर किए) शब्द का प्रयोग करके यह निर्देश देते हैं कि राजा (पिता) के समान ही सभी माताओं का आदर होना चाहिए। राम पारिवारिक मर्यादा को बनाए रखना चाहते हैं। वे नहीं चाहते कि राज्य के बंटवारे या वनवास की कड़वाहट रनिवास (अंतःपुर) के रिश्तों को विषाक्त करे। यह राम का 'समत्व भाव' है जो वे भरत में भी देखना चाहते हैं।
