एष मे प्रथमः कल्पो यद् अम्बा मे यवीयसी ।
भरत आरक्षितम् स्फीतम् पुत्र राज्यम् अवाप्नुयात् ॥२-५२-६३॥
eṣa me prathamaḥ kalpo yad ambā me yavīyasī । bharata ārakṣitam sphītam putra rājyam avāpnuyāt ॥ ॥2-52-63॥
Translation
This is my primary wish: that my younger mother should obtain this prosperous kingdom, protected and ruled by her son Bharata.

मेरा मुख्य संकल्प (इच्छा) यही है कि मेरी छोटी माता अपने पुत्र भरत द्वारा पालित इस समृद्ध राज्य को प्राप्त करें।
English Commentary
Rama's magnanimity is vividly clear here. He is not just accepting exile passively; he actively desires the fulfillment of Kaikeyi's wish and for Bharata to rule. The use of the word 'sphītam' (prosperous/flourishing) indicates that Rama wishes no ill upon the kingdom; he wants it to thrive under Bharata's protection. There is not an ounce of malice in Rama. He calls this his 'prathamaḥ kalpo' (primary resolve), showing that he accepts this turn of events not as a helpless compulsion, but as his own willed duty and desire.

राम की महानता यहाँ स्पष्ट होती है। वे न केवल वन जा रहे हैं, बल्कि वे सक्रिय रूप से चाहते हैं कि कैकेयी की इच्छा पूरी हो और भरत राज्य करें। 'स्फीतम्' (समृद्ध/विस्तृत) शब्द का प्रयोग बताता है कि राम राज्य का अहित नहीं चाहते; वे चाहते हैं कि भरत के नेतृत्व में राज्य फले-फूले। राम के मन में रत्ती भर भी द्वेष नहीं है। वे इसे 'प्रथमः कल्पो' (मुख्य संकल्प) कहते हैं, जो दर्शाता है कि वे इसे एक मजबूरी नहीं बल्कि अपना कर्तव्य और इच्छा मानकर स्वीकार कर रहे हैं।
