अथ आरुरोह तेजस्वी स्वयम् लक्ष्मण पूर्वजः ।
ततः निषाद अधिपतिर् गुहो ज्ञातीन् अचोदयत् ॥२-५२-७७॥
atha āruroha tejasvī svayam lakṣmaṇa pūrvajaḥ । tataḥ niṣāda adhipatir guho jñātīn acodayat ॥ ॥2-52-77॥
Translation
Then the glorious elder brother of Lakshmana (Rama) himself boarded. Thereupon, Guha, the Lord of Nishadhas, ordered his kinsmen (to row).
हिंदी अनुवाद
तदनन्तर तेजस्वी लक्ष्मण-अग्रज (राम) स्वयं नाव पर चढ़े। तब निषादराज गुह ने अपने जाति-भाइयों (नाविकों) को नाव चलाने की आज्ञा दी।
English Commentary
Rama boards last. This is the mark of a true leader who ensures the safety of his dependents (Sita and Lakshmana) before securing his own. The adjective 'tejasvī' (glorious) implies that despite the ascetic garb and matted hair, Rama's regal aura remains undiminished. Guha acts as the 'adhipati' (Lord/King), commanding his 'jñātīn' (kinsmen/boatmen) to row. It shows a disciplined operation; despite the emotional weight of the departure, the logistical order is maintained.

राम सबसे अंत में नाव पर चढ़ते हैं। यह एक सच्चे नेता का गुण है जो पहले अपने आश्रितों (सीता और लक्ष्मण) की सुरक्षा सुनिश्चित करता है। 'तेजस्वी' विशेषण बताता है कि वनवासी वेश और जटाओं के बावजूद राम का प्रभाव कम नहीं हुआ है। गुह स्वयं नाव नहीं चला रहे, बल्कि 'अधिपति' (राजा) होने के नाते अपने 'ज्ञातीन्' (सगे-संबंधियों/नाविकों) को आदेश दे रहे हैं। यह एक अनुशासित अभियान है, भावुकतापूर्ण विदाई के बावजूद व्यवस्था बनी हुई है।
