यानि त्वत्तीरवासीनि दैवतानि च सन्ति हि ।
तानि सर्वाणि यक्ष्यामि तीर्थान्यायतनानि च ॥२-५२-९०॥
yāni tvattīravāsīni daivatāni ca santi hi । tāni sarvāṇi yakṣyāmi tīrthānyāyatanāni ca ॥ ॥2-52-90॥
Translation
"I shall worship all the deities that dwell on your banks, as well as all the holy bathing spots (Tirthas) and shrines (Ayatanas)."

"तुम्हारे तट पर निवास करने वाले जो भी देवता हैं, और जो भी तीर्थ तथा आयतन (मंदिर/स्थान) हैं, उन सबकी मैं पूजा करूँगी।"
English Commentary
Sita's spirituality is inclusive. She vows to honor not just Ganga, but all the lesser deities, holy spots (Tirthas), and shrines (Ayatanas) dependent on her. By mentioning 'tvattīravāsīni' (dwelling on your banks), she acknowledges the invisible spirits and local guardians of the region. This demonstrates humility before the unknown. Gaining the favor of local deities was considered essential for safety when entering wild, unknown territories.

सीता का धर्म 'समन्वयवादी' है। वे केवल गंगा को ही नहीं, बल्कि उनके आश्रित सभी छोटे-बड़े देवताओं, तीर्थों और आयतनों (मंदिरों) को सम्मान देने का वचन देती हैं। 'त्वत्तीरवासीनि' (तट पर रहने वाले) कहकर वे उन अदृश्य शक्तियों को भी नमन करती हैं जो उस क्षेत्र की रक्षा करती हैं। यह अज्ञात के प्रति विनम्रता है। वन में प्रवेश करते समय स्थानीय देवताओं की अनुकूलता प्राप्त करना सुरक्षा के लिए आवश्यक माना जाता था।
