इयम् एक पदी राजन् यतः मे पितुर् आश्रमः ।
तम् प्रसादय गत्वा त्वम् न त्वाम् स कुपितः शपेत् ॥ ॥२-६३-४७॥
Iyam eka padī rājan yataḥ me pitur āśramaḥ |
Tam prasādaya gatvā tvam na tvām sa kupitaḥ śapet ॥2-63-47॥
Translation
"This is the footpath, O King, leading to my father's hermitage. Go there and propitiate him, so that he does not curse you in his anger."

"हे राजन! यह पगडंडी (रास्ता) है जहाँ मेरे पिता का आश्रम है। वहाँ जाकर तुम उन्हें प्रसन्न करो, ताकि कुपित होकर वे तुम्हें श्राप न दे दें।"
English Commentary
Shravan Kumara provides practical navigation, pointing out the Eka-padi (footpath) to the ashram. His final concern is damage control—not for himself, but for the King and his parents. He instructs Dasharatha to "propitiate" (Prasadaya) the father. It is a tragic irony that the victim is directing the killer to the victim's family, hoping to prevent a curse (Shapa), thereby trying to break the cycle of destruction his death has started.

अंतिम निर्देशों में, श्रवण कुमार मार्ग ('एक पदी' - पगडंडी) दिखाते हैं। वे दशरथ को स्पष्ट निर्देश देते हैं: 'तम् प्रसादय' (उन्हें मनाओ/प्रसन्न करो)। श्रवण कुमार जानते हैं कि केवल क्षमा-याचना और सत्य को स्वीकार करने से ही उनके पिता का क्रोध शांत हो सकता है। एक पुत्र के रूप में वे अपने पिता की सेवा अब और नहीं कर सकते, इसलिए वे राजा को ही सेवा और क्षमा का मार्ग सौंप रहे हैं ताकि अनर्थ और न बढ़े।
