विशल्यम् कुरु माम् राजन् मर्म मे निशितः शरः ।
रुणद्धि मृदु स उत्सेधम् तीरम् अम्बु रयो यथा ॥ ॥२-६३-४८॥
viśalyam kuru mām rājan marma me niśitaḥ śaraḥ । ruṇaddhi mṛdu sa utsedham tīram ambu rayo yathā ॥ ॥2-63-48॥
Translation
O King! Please remove this arrow from me. This sharp arrow pierced into my vital organs is obstructing my breath, just as a high bank obstructs the current of water.
हिंदी अनुवाद
हे राजन! मेरे शरीर से इस बाण को निकाल दीजिये। यह तीखा बाण मेरे मर्मस्थल में वैसे ही प्राणों (श्वास) को रोक रहा है, जैसे ऊँचा किनारा नदी के वेग को रोकता है।
English Commentary
The imagery used by the dying ascetic boy is profound. He compares the sharp arrow blocking his breath to a riverbank obstructing a current. This highlights the physical sensation of suffocation and agony he is enduring. Despite the excruciating pain caused by the King's action, he addresses Dasharatha respectfully as 'Rajan' (King). His request to remove the arrow shows his desire for relief from the immediate obstruction, understanding that removing it will likely release his life force entirely.

यहाँ मुनिकुमार की पीड़ा और उनकी उपमा अत्यंत मार्मिक है। वे अपने प्राणों के निकलने की प्रक्रिया का वर्णन कर रहे हैं। जैसे नदी का तट पानी के बहाव को रोकता है, वैसे ही यह बाण उनके प्राण-वायु के प्रवाह को अवरुद्ध कर रहा है। मृत्युशैया पर होते हुए भी, वे राजा दशरथ को 'राजन' कहकर संबोधित करते हैं, जो उनके उच्च संस्कारों को दर्शाता है। वे केवल अपनी पीड़ा से मुक्ति चाहते हैं, भले ही इसका अर्थ तत्काल मृत्यु हो।
