दुःखितस्य च दीनस्य मम शोकातुरस्य च ।
लक्ष्यामास हृदये चिन्ताम् मुनिसुत स्तदा ॥ ॥२-६३-५०॥
duḥkhitasya ca dīnasya mama śokāturasya ca । lakṣyāmāsa hṛdaye cintām munisuta stadā ॥ ॥2-63-50॥
Translation
The sage's son then noticed the anxiety in the heart of me, who was grieving, miserable, and overwhelmed with sorrow.

उस समय उस मुनिकुमार ने मेरे शोक, दीनता और हृदय की व्याकुलता को भांप लिया।
English Commentary
This verse underscores the extraordinary nobility of the young ascetic. Even while dying, he possesses the empathy to perceive Dasharatha's internal state. He notices that the King is not arrogant or cruel, but 'Dina' (miserable) and consumed by grief. Instead of cursing the man who shot him, the boy acknowledges the shooter's suffering. This shift in focus from his own physical pain to the King's emotional agony sets the stage for his final act of reassurance.

यहाँ ऋषिकुमार की महानता और दिव्य दृष्टि का परिचय मिलता है। अपनी मृत्यु के कगार पर होते हुए भी, उनका ध्यान अपनी पीड़ा से अधिक दशरथ की मानसिक स्थिति पर है। वे देख लेते हैं कि राजा ग्लानि और शोक से भर गए हैं। सामान्यतः घायल व्यक्ति क्रोधित होता है, परन्तु यह बालक राजा की विवशता और पश्चाताप को समझ रहा है। यह सात्विक स्वभाव की पराकाष्ठा है।
