English Commentary
The verse vividly describes the physical shutdown of the body. The phrases 'losing motion' and 'trembling' indicate the final stages of life leaving the body. The effort required for him to speak those last words of reassurance ('kṛccrāt' - with difficulty) highlights the sacrifice he made to comfort Dasharatha. It sets the scene for the inevitable action Dasharatha must now take: pulling the arrow as requested.

यह श्लोक बालक की अंतिम अवस्था का चित्रण करता है। 'कृच्छ्रात्' शब्द बताता है कि बोलना कितना कठिन था। उसके प्राणपखेरू उड़ने ही वाले हैं। शरीर का काँपना (वेपमानस्य) और चेतना का लुप्त होना (विचेष्टस्य) मृत्यु के क्षण को दर्शाता है। दशरथ इस दृश्य के मूक साक्षी हैं। यह वर्णन करुणा रस को अपने चरम पर ले जाता है, जहाँ पाठक राजा के अपराध की गंभीरता को महसूस कर सकता है।
