Srimad Valmiki Ramayana
सर्वलक्षणसम्पन्नं सर्वं विधिवदर्चितम् ।
सर्वं सुगुणलक्ष्मीवत्तद्बभूवाभिहारिकम् ॥ ॥२-६५-१०॥
sarvalakṣaṇasampannaṃ sarvaṃ vidhivadarcitam |
sarvaṃ suguṇalakṣmīvattadbabhūvābhihārikam ॥2-65-10॥
Translation
All those materials were endowed with all auspicious characteristics, arranged according to proper procedure, possessed of excellent qualities and beauty, and were captivating to the mind.
हिंदी अनुवाद
वह सब सामग्री सम्पूर्ण शुभ लक्षणों से युक्त थी, विधिपूर्वक सजी हुई थी, उत्तम गुणों और शोभा से सम्पन्न थी तथा मन को हरने वाली थी।
English Commentary
The poet elaborates on the perfection of the morning preparations. Every item required for the King's morning ritual was aesthetically pleasing, methodically arranged, and auspicious. The description serves to heighten the pathos of the scene. All the grandeur of the material world remains intact and ready, yet it has become instantly irrelevant because the conscious entity (the King) is absent. It is a poignant commentary on the ephemeral nature of power and life; the 'Abhiharikam' (captivating) nature of the objects now serves only as a grim decoration for a tragedy, emphasizing that physical luxury has no value without the life force to sustain it.

वाल्मीकि जी यहाँ वातावरण की पूर्णता का वर्णन कर रहे हैं। राजसी शिष्टाचार में कोई कमी नहीं थी। सब कुछ 'विधिवत्' (नियम के अनुसार) और 'सुगुणलक्ष्मीवत्' (गुण और शोभा से युक्त) था। परन्तु, यह सारी सुंदरता और तैयारी अब व्यर्थ है क्योंकि उनका उपभोग करने वाला व्यक्ति अब इस संसार में नहीं है। यह दृश्य नश्वरता के सिद्धांत को पुष्ट करता है—संसार की सारी व्यवस्था और सौंदर्य धरे रह जाते हैं जब प्राण शरीर को त्याग देते हैं। यह श्लोक पाठकों के मन में करुणा उत्पन्न करता है क्योंकि हम जानते हैं कि यह सारी तैयारी अब शोक में बदलने वाली है।
