ततः शुचि समाचाराः पर्युपस्थान कोविदः ।
स्त्री वर्ष वर भूयिष्ठाउपतस्थुर् यथा पुरम् ॥ ॥२-६५-७॥
Tataḥ śuci samācārāḥ paryupasthāna kovidāḥ । Strī varṣa vara bhūyiṣṭhā upatasthur yathā puram ॥ ॥2-65-7॥
Translation
Then, the attendants practicing clean conduct and skilled in service, consisting mostly of women and eunuchs, appeared for duty just as before.

तदनंतर, पवित्र आचरण वाले और सेवा कार्य में कुशल, दासियाँ और नपुंसक (वर्षवर) आदि सेवकों का समूह 'पहले की तरह' (यथा पुरम्) सेवा के लिए उपस्थित हुआ।
English Commentary
The personal attendants arrive. They are described as śuci samācārāḥ (of pure habits/hygiene) and experts in attendance (paryupasthāna kovidāḥ). The group includes varṣa-vara (eunuchs) and women. The phrase yathā puram (just as before/as usual) is the key takeaway. They are ready to serve a living master. The mechanical nature of their arrival emphasizes the suddenness of the death; the household has not yet adjusted to the new reality.
