रामे वा भरते वाहं विशेषं नोपलक्षये ।
तस्मात्तुष्टास्मि यद्राजा रामं राज्येऽभिषेक्ष्यति ॥ ॥२-७-३५॥
Rāme vā bharate vāhaṃ viśeṣaṃ nopalakṣaye |
Tasmāttuṣṭāsmi yadrājā rāmaṃ rājye'bhiṣekṣyati ॥2-7-35॥
Translation
"I see no difference between Rama and Bharata. Therefore, I am satisfied that the King is going to consecrate Rama on the throne."
हिंदी अनुवाद
"मैं राम में और भरत में कोई अंतर (भेद) नहीं देखती। इसलिए मैं संतुष्ट हूँ कि राजा (दशरथ) राम का राज्य पर अभिषेक करने जा रहे हैं।"
English Commentary
This is one of the most pivotal verses in the Ayodhya Kanda. It encapsulates the core of Kaikeyi’s uncorrupted character: 'Viśeṣaṃ nopalakṣaye' (I see no difference/distinction). It testifies to her impartial maternal love. For her, Rama’s ascension is indistinguishable from Bharata’s. This sentiment stands in direct opposition to Manthara’s divisive logic. As long as Kaikeyi holds onto this view of equality between the brothers, Manthara’s plot cannot succeed. Manthara’s primary task now becomes destroying this very sense of equivalence.

यह अयोध्या कांड के सबसे महत्वपूर्ण श्लोकों में से एक है। यह कैकेयी के चरित्र का मूल मंत्र है: 'विशेषं नोपलक्षये' (मैं कोई अंतर नहीं देखती)। यह उसकी समदृष्टि और मातृसुलभ प्रेम का प्रमाण है। उसके लिए राम का राजा बनना भरत के राजा बनने के समान ही सुखद है। यह श्लोक मंथरा के 'भेदभाव' (Divisive) तर्कों के ठीक विपरीत खड़ा है। जब तक कैकेयी इस विचार पर कायम है, मंथरा की दाल नहीं गल सकती। मंथरा को अब इसी 'समानता' के भाव को तोड़ना होगा।
