स मातामहम् आपृच्च्य मातुलम् च युधा जितम् ।
रथम् आरुह्य भरतः शत्रुघ्न सहितः ययौ ॥ ॥२-७०-२४॥
Sa mātāmaham āpṛccya mātulam ca Yudhā Jitam |
Ratham āruhya Bharataḥ Śatrughna sahitaḥ yayau ॥2-70-24॥
Translation
Having taken leave of his maternal grandfather and his maternal uncle Yudhajit, Bharata mounted the chariot and departed along with Shatrughna.

वह (भरत) अपने नाना और मामा युधाजित् से विदा लेकर, रथ पर सवार होकर शत्रुघ्न के साथ चल पड़े।
English Commentary
The farewell ceremony concludes, and the action shifts to departure. Bharata, accompanied by his inseparable brother Shatrughna, mounts the chariot. The explicit naming of the uncle, Yudhajit, formalizes the leave-taking. This verse marks the physical transition from the safety of the grandfather's home toward the tragic reality waiting in Ayodhya.

विदाई समारोह समाप्त होता है और यात्रा प्रारंभ होती है। भरत और शत्रुघ्न एक साथ रथ पर सवार होते हैं। 'युधा जितम्' (युधाजित्) नाम का अर्थ है 'युद्ध में जीतने वाला'। मामा का नाम यहाँ स्पष्ट रूप से लिया गया है। अब दृश्य केकय के राजमहल से हटकर यात्रा के मार्ग की ओर मुड़ रहा है।
