एल धाने नदीम् तीर्त्वा प्राप्य च अपर पर्पटान् ।
शिलाम् आकुर्वतीम् तीर्त्वाआग्नेयम् शल्य कर्तनम् ॥ ॥२-७१-३॥
Ela dhāne nadīm tīrtvā prāpya ca apara parpaṭān |
Śilām ākurvatīm tīrtvā-āgneyam śalya kartanam ॥2-71-3॥
Translation
Having crossed the river at Eladhana and reached Aparaparpatas, he crossed the river Shila-akurvati and proceeded towards Shalyakartana in the south-east direction.

एलधान में नदी पार करके और अपरपर्पट (स्थान) पहुंचकर, उन्होंने शिला-आकुर्वती नदी को पार किया और आग्नेय दिशा में शल्यकर्तन (नगर/स्थान) की ओर बढ़े।
English Commentary
The itinerary becomes specific. "Eladhana" and "Aparaparpatas" are ancient place names located between the Sutlej and the Yamuna. "Agneyam" indicates a shift in direction to the South-East, which aligns with the route from Punjab down towards the Gangetic plain. "Shalyakartana" is another waypoint, possibly a town or region known for weapon crafting or specific terrain.
