ताव् अर्ध दिवसे श्रान्तौ दृष्ट्वा पुत्रौ मही तले ।
रुरोद पुत्र शोकेन बाष्प पर्याकुल ईक्षणा ॥ ॥२-७४-१६॥

Translation
Seeing her two sons tired on the earth at midday, she wept in grief for her sons, her eyes filled with tears.

दोपहर के समय पृथ्वी पर थके हुए उन दोनों पुत्रों को देखकर, वह पुत्र-शोक के कारण आंसुओं से भरी आँखों के साथ रोने लगीं।
English Commentary
The timing mentioned, ardha divase (midday), intensifies the pathos of the scene; the bulls are toiling under the scorching noon sun. Surabhi's reaction is visceral; she does not merely feel sad but weeps openly (ruroda), her vision clouded by tears (bāṣpaparyākulekṣaṇā). The commentary notes that this imagery serves to humanize the divine, making the concept of universal motherhood relatable.
