प्रैष्यम् पापीयसाम् यातु सूर्यम् च प्रति मेहतु ।
हन्तु पादेन गाम् सुप्ताम् यस्य आर्यो अनुमते गतः ॥ ॥२-७५-२२॥
praiṣyam pāpīyasām yātu sūryam ca prati mehatu । hantu pādena gām suptam yasya āryo anumate gatah ॥ ॥2-75-22॥
Translation
"May he become a servant to the worst of sinners, may he urinate facing the sun, and may he kick a sleeping cow with his foot, by whose consent the Arya went."

"जिसकी अनुमति से आर्य (राम) वन को गए हों, वह पापियों की दासता करे, सूर्य की ओर मुख करके मल-मूत्र त्याग करे और सोती हुई गाय को लात मारे।"
English Commentary
Bharata invokes specific, culturally abhorrent taboos. Serving the wicked (papiyasam) implies a total loss of social standing. Urinating towards the Sun is a direct insult to the cosmic order and a specific prohibition in Dharmashastras. Kicking a sleeping cow (gam suptam) represents the ultimate act of cruelty and adharma in a culture that reveres the cow as sacred. By invoking these specific sins, Bharata is saying, "May I be considered as vile as a person who does these unspeakable things if I had any hand in this."

इस श्लोक में भरत उन पापों का उल्लेख करते हैं जो भारतीय संस्कृति में अत्यंत घृणित माने जाते हैं। 'पापीयसाम् प्रैष्यम्' (पापियों का नौकर बनना) एक राजकुमार के लिए घोर अपमान है। 'सूर्यम् प्रति मेहतु' (सूर्य की ओर लघुशंका करना) देवताओं का अपमान है, और 'गाम् सुप्ताम् हन्तु' (सोती गाय को लात मारना) महापाप है। भरत कह रहे हैं कि यदि वे दोषी हैं, तो उन्हें इन जघन्य पापों का भागीदार माना जाए। ये कृत्य सामाजिक और धार्मिक रूप से बहिष्कृत करने वाले हैं।
