तथा इति भरतः वाक्यम् वसिष्ठस्य अभिपूज्य तत् ।
ऋत्विक् पुरोहित आचार्याम्स् त्वरयाम् आस सर्वशः ॥ ॥२-७६-१२॥
Tatheti bharatah vakyam vasishthasya abhipujya tat । Ritvik purohita acharyams tvarayam asa sarvashah ॥ ॥2-76-12॥
Translation
Saying "So be it," Bharata honored Vasistha's words and urged the Ritviks, Purohits, and Acharyas to hurry in every way.
हिंदी अनुवाद
"ऐसा ही होगा," यह कहकर भरत ने वशिष्ठ जी के वचन को शिरोधार्य किया और ऋत्विजों, पुरोहितों तथा आचार्यों को सब प्रकार से शीघ्रता करने के लिए कहा।
English Commentary
This verse highlights Bharata's discipline and devotion to his Guru. Despite being submerged in grief, the moment he received the command, he accepted it by saying Tatheti ("So be it"). The verse mentions three categories of religious officials: Ritviks (officiating priests for sacrifices), Purohits (family priests observing rites), and Acharyas (teachers/preceptors). In a royal funeral, each has a distinct role. Bharata orders all of them to hasten, ensuring that the complex rituals are started immediately and conducted without procedural errors.

यह श्लोक भरत की गुरु-भक्ति और अनुशासन को दर्शाता है। यद्यपि वे शोक में डूबे थे, फिर भी गुरु की आज्ञा मिलते ही उन्होंने 'तथेति' (वैसा ही हो) कहकर उसे स्वीकार किया। यहाँ तीन प्रकार के ब्राह्मणों का उल्लेख है: ऋत्विक (जो यज्ञ कराते हैं), पुरोहित (जो कुल के मंगल कार्यों को देखते हैं), और आचार्य (जो वेद-शास्त्रों की शिक्षा देते हैं)। राजा के अंतिम संस्कार में इन सभी की विशिष्ट भूमिकाएँ होती हैं, इसलिए भरत ने उन सभी को शीघ्रता करने का आदेश दिया ताकि विधि-विधान में कोई त्रुटि न रह जाए।
