अमात्याः त्वरयन्ति स्म तनयौ च अपराः क्रियाः ।
॥२-७७-२७॥
Amātyāḥ tvarayanti sma tanayau ca aparāḥ kriyāḥ । ॥2-77-27॥
Translation
The ministers hurried the two sons to proceed with the remaining rites.

अमात्यों (मंत्रियों) ने उन दोनों पुत्रों को अन्य (और्ध्वदैहिक) क्रियाओं के लिए शीघ्रता करने को कहा।
English Commentary
This brief line serves as a narrative bridge. The ministers intervene to ensure the ritual schedule is maintained. In Vedic tradition, funeral rites are time-sensitive and strictly ordered. The ministers pushing the princes (tvarayanti sma) indicates that the administrative machinery of Ayodhya is still functioning despite the vacuum of power. It marks the transition from the emotional pause of grief back to the structured world of obligation. The princes are not just sons mourning a father; they are the custodians of the lineage who must complete the rites to ensure the departed king's transition and the kingdom's spiritual safety.

यह श्लोक सर्ग ७७ की समाप्ति की ओर संकेत करता है। शोक की अवस्था में समय का भान नहीं रहता, इसलिए मंत्रियों ('अमात्याः') का कर्तव्य है कि वे अनुष्ठानों की समय-सीमा का ध्यान रखें। 'अपराः क्रियाः' से तात्पर्य दाह संस्कार के बाद की विधियों (जैसे तर्पण, पिण्डदान आदि) से है। मंत्रियों द्वारा शीघ्रता कराना यह बताता है कि राज्य कार्य और धार्मिक कृत्यों में समय का बहुत महत्व है, और राजा की अनुपस्थिति में प्रशासन को सुचारू रखने का भार मंत्रियों पर ही होता है। यह दृश्य भरत और शत्रुघ्न की निष्क्रियता और मंत्रियों की सक्रियता के बीच के संतुलन को दिखाता है।
