आभिषेचनिकम् चैव सर्वम् एतत् उपस्कृतम् ।
पुरः कृत्य गमिष्यामि राम हेतोर् वनम् प्रति ॥२-७९-१०॥
ābhiṣecanikam caiva sarvam etat upaskṛtam । puraḥ kṛtya gamiṣyāmi rāma hetor vanam prati ॥ ॥2-79-10॥
Translation
Taking all these materials collected for the coronation and placing them at the forefront, I shall proceed towards the forest for the sake of Rama.

राज्याभिषेक के लिए जुटाई गई यह समस्त सामग्री, आगे करके (साथ लेकर), मैं राम के लिए वन की ओर प्रस्थान करूँगा।
English Commentary
Bharata clarifies that the coronation preparations will not be wasted but redirected. By stating he will place the items puraḥ kṛtya (keeping them in front), he adopts a position of subservience. He is not marching to the forest as a leader inspects his troops, but as a devotee follows a sacred relic. He intends to transport the ceremony of coronation from the palace of Ayodhya to the wilderness of Dandaka. The phrase rāma hetor (for the sake of Rama) defines his motivation; every action, step, and command is solely dedicated to his brother's restoration. He refuses to let the coronation happen without the rightful protagonist.

भरत की योजना अत्यंत स्पष्ट है। वे राज्याभिषेक की सामग्री को व्यर्थ नहीं जाने देंगे, बल्कि उसे अपने सही अधिकारी तक पहुँचाएंगे। 'पुरः कृत्य' (आगे रखकर) का अर्थ है कि वे स्वयं नेता बनकर नहीं जा रहे, बल्कि इन मांगलिक वस्तुओं और राजचिह्नों को आगे रखकर एक सेवक की भांति पीछे चलेंगे। यह यात्रा एक तीर्थयात्रा के समान होगी जिसका देवता 'राम' हैं और पूजा सामग्री 'अभिषेक का सामान' है। 'राम हेतोर्' (राम के लिए) वाक्यांश बताता है कि उनके जीवन का अब एकमात्र उद्देश्य श्रीराम की सेवा और तुष्टि है। यह दृश्य अत्यंत भावपूर्ण है जहाँ राज-वैभव वन की ओर चल पड़ा है।
