क्रियताम् शिल्पिभिः पन्थाः समानि विषमाणि च ।
रक्षिणः च अनुसम्यान्तु पथि दुर्ग विचारकाः ॥२-७९-१३॥
kriyatām śilpibhiḥ panthāḥ samāni viṣamāṇi ca । rakṣiṇaḥ ca anusamayāntu pathi durga vicārakāḥ ॥ ॥2-79-13॥
Translation
Let the path be prepared by artisans, leveling the uneven grounds. Let guards and those knowledgeable about difficult terrains accompany the procession.

(भरत ने आदेश दिया) शिल्पियों (कारीगरों) द्वारा ऊबड़-खाबड़ रास्तों को समतल करके मार्ग तैयार किया जाए। रास्तों की देखभाल करने वाले रक्षक और दुर्गम मार्गों के जानकार भी साथ चलें।
English Commentary
Switching from emotional declarations to administrative pragmatism, Bharata commands the logistical preparation for the journey. He orders shilpis (artisans/engineers) to level the viṣamāṇi (uneven/rough) paths. This shows his concern for the citizens, the queens, and the army who will accompany him. He is not just rushing blindly; he is organizing a massive state expedition. The inclusion of durga vicārakāḥ (scouts/explorers of difficult terrain) proves his foresight. Bharata is ensuring that the physical path to Rama is as unobstructed as his spiritual resolve. It reflects the ancient Indian capability of mobilizing infrastructure quickly for royal movements.
