आज्ञाप्य अथ यथा आज्ञप्ति युक्ताः ते अधिकृता नराः ।
रमणीयेषु देशेषु बहु स्वादु फलेषु च ॥२-८०-१५॥
ājñāpya atha yathā ājñapti yuktāḥ te adhikṛtā narāḥ |
ramaṇīyeṣu deśeṣu bahu svādu phaleṣu ca ॥2-80-15॥
Translation
Having received orders, the appointed officers, acting according to the command, set up camps in beautiful regions rich in abundant sweet fruits.

तत्पश्चात, राजा (भरत) की आज्ञा पाकर, नियुक्त किए गए वे अधिकारी लोग, सुंदर स्थानों और बहुत से स्वादिष्ट फलों वाले प्रदेशों में (पड़ाव डालने की व्यवस्था करने लगे)।
English Commentary
This verse highlights the logistical competence of the Ayodhya administration. The adhikṛtā narāḥ (authorized officers) execute the commands strictly (yathā ājñapti). The criteria for selecting campsites show strategic planning: they chose spots that were visually pleasing (ramaṇīyeṣu) and resourceful (bahu svādu phaleṣu), ensuring sustenance and morale for the massive retinue. This careful selection was crucial because supporting a moving city requires immense natural resources. It reflects the solicitous nature of the leadership, ensuring that the arduous journey through the wild was made as bearable as possible for the citizens accompanying Bharata.
