Srimad Valmiki Ramayana
आसनानि यथा न्यायम् आर्याणाम् विशताम् तदा ।
अदृश्यत घन अपाये पूर्ण चन्द्रा इव शर्वरी ॥ ॥२-८२-२॥
Āsanāni yathā nyāyam āryāṇām viśatām tadā । Adṛśyata ghana apāye pūrṇa candrā iva śarvarī ॥ ॥2-82-2॥
Translation
As those noble men took their seats according to rank and protocol, the assembly appeared like a night with a full moon when the clouds have cleared away.
हिंदी अनुवाद
जब वे श्रेष्ठ जन न्यायपूर्वक (मर्यादा अनुसार) अपने-अपने आसनों पर विराजमान हो गए, तब वह सभा बादलों के हट जाने पर पूर्ण चंद्रमा वाली रात्रि के समान सुशोभित हुई।
English Commentary
This verse reinforces the visual splendor of the court. The phrase ghana apāye (clearing of clouds) is metaphorical; the uncertainty and chaos following Dasharatha's demise are dissipating now that a potential successor is present. The orderly seating (yathā nyāyam) emphasizes hierarchy and stability. The imagery suggests that the "night" (the state in crisis) is becoming beautiful again because the "moon" (the ruler/administration) is visible. It sets the stage for the formal proceedings to begin.

पिछले श्लोक के भाव को ही यहाँ विस्तार दिया गया है। 'घनापाये' (बादलों के हटने पर) शब्द अत्यंत महत्वपूर्ण है। यह संकेत करता है कि राजा की मृत्यु और राम के वनवास से जो शोक के बादल छाए थे, वे अब भरत की उपस्थिति और प्रशासनिक स्थिरता के कारण छंट रहे हैं। 'यथा न्यायम्' (नियमानुसार) यह दर्शाता है कि अयोध्या की प्रशासनिक व्यवस्था अभी भी सुचारू है। सभा का यह उज्ज्वल रूप वसिष्ठ जी के प्रस्ताव के लिए एक सकारात्मक पृष्ठभूमि तैयार करता है।
