सा विद्वज्जनसम्पूर्णा सभा सुरुचिरा तदा ।
अदृश्यत घनापाये पूर्णचन्द्रेव शर्वरी ॥ ॥२-८२-३॥
Sā vidvajjanasampūrṇā sabhā surucirā tadā । Adṛśyata ghanāpāye pūrṇacandreva śarvarī ॥ ॥2-82-3॥
Translation
Filled with learned men, that assembly looked resplendent at that time, just like a night adorned with a full moon after the clouds have departed.

विद्वानों से परिपूर्ण वह सभा उस समय अत्यंत सुंदर दिखाई दे रही थी, जैसे बादलों के हट जाने पर पूर्ण चंद्रमा से युक्त रात्रि शोभायमान होती है।
English Commentary
Although repetitive in imagery (referencing the full moon and clearing clouds again), this verse shifts focus specifically to the quality of the attendees: vidvajjana (learned people). This implies that the proposal to crown Bharata is not a hasty emotional reaction but a considered decision by the intelligentsia of Ayodhya. It underscores the intellectual weight pressing upon Bharata. The repetition serves to arrest the narrative flow, forcing the reader to visualize the serene, expectant atmosphere before the dialogue begins.

वाल्मीकि रामायण में कभी-कभी एक ही उपमा को दोहराया जाता है ताकि दृश्य की भव्यता को स्थापित किया जा सके। यहाँ पुनः 'विद्वज्जन' (विद्वान लोगों) की उपस्थिति पर जोर दिया गया है। यह दर्शाता है कि भरत को केवल चाटुकार नहीं, बल्कि ज्ञानवान और धर्मज्ञ लोग घेर कर बैठे थे। यह सभा भावावेश में निर्णय लेने वाली भीड़ नहीं थी, बल्कि यह शास्त्र सम्मत निर्णय लेने वाली 'विद्वत्-सभा' थी। इससे आगे वसिष्ठ द्वारा दिए जाने वाले तर्कों को वैधता (legitimacy) मिलती है।
