अग्रतः प्रययुस् तस्य सर्वे मन्त्रि पुरोधसः ।
अधिरुह्य हयैः युक्तान् रथान् सूर्य रथ उपमान् ॥ ॥२-८३-२॥
Agrataḥ prayayus tasya sarve mantri purodhasaḥ । Adhiruhya hayaiḥ yuktān rathān sūrya ratha upamān ॥ ॥2-83-2॥
Translation
All the ministers and priests went ahead of him, having mounted chariots yoked with horses, resembling the chariot of the Sun.
हिंदी अनुवाद
सभी मंत्री और पुरोहित (वसिष्ठ आदि) सूर्य के रथ के समान तेजस्वी घोड़ों वाले रथों पर सवार होकर भरत के आगे-आगे चले।
English Commentary
The formation of the procession places the religious and administrative elders (mantri purodhasaḥ) at the front (agrataḥ). This is traditional protocol, ensuring the path is ritually and physically cleared for the royal figure. Comparing their chariots to the Surya ratha (Chariot of the Sun) adds a cosmic dimension to the procession, suggesting that this journey brings light (Dharma) back to the world.
