Srimad Valmiki Ramayana
लब्ध्वा अभ्यनुज्ञाम् सम्हृष्टः ज्ञातिभिः परिवारितः ।
आगम्य भरतम् प्रह्वो गुहो वचनम् अब्रवीइत् ॥ ॥२-८४-१५॥
labdhvā abhyanujñām samhṛṣṭaḥ jñātibhiḥ parivāritaḥ । āgamya bharatam prahvo guho vacanam abravīit ॥ ॥2-84-15॥
Translation
Having received permission, Guha was delighted. Surrounded by his kinsmen, he approached Bharata, bowed humbly, and spoke.
हिंदी अनुवाद
अनुमति पाकर अत्यंत हर्षित हुए गुह, अपने सगे-संबंधियों से घिरे हुए आए और भरत के सामने विनम्रतापूर्वक झुककर बोले।
English Commentary
Guha’s reaction changes from suspicion to delight ("samhṛṣṭaḥ") upon being invited. This indicates his relief that Bharata’s intentions are likely peaceful. He approaches with his kinsmen, maintaining the protocol of a tribal chieftain meeting an Emperor. The term "prahva" (bowing low/humble) is significant; it shows Guha’s cultural refinement and deep respect for the lineage of Raghu. Even though he commands the forest, he submits to Bharata, recognizing the hierarchy and honoring the brother of his beloved friend, Rama.

गुह के मन में पहले जो संशय था कि भरत शत्रुतापूर्ण भाव से आ रहे हैं, वह अब समाप्त हो गया है, इसलिए वे 'संहृष्टः' (अत्यंत हर्षित) हैं। वे अकेले नहीं, अपितु अपने 'ज्ञातिभिः' (कुटुम्बियों/मंत्रियों) के साथ आते हैं, जो एक राजा के लिए उचित शिष्टाचार है। 'प्रह्वो' (झुककर) शब्द गुह की रघुकुल के प्रति निष्ठा और भरत के प्रति सम्मान को दर्शाता है। यद्यपि गुह स्वयं एक शक्तिशाली राजा हैं, परन्तु वे भरत के सामने सेवक भाव से प्रस्तुत होते हैं, क्योंकि वे राम के भाई हैं।
