ऊर्जितः खलु ते कामः कृतः मम गुरोह् सखे ।
यो मे त्वम् ईदृशीम् सेनाम् एको अभ्यर्चितुम् इच्चसि ॥ ॥२-८५-२॥
ūrjitaḥ khalu te kāmaḥ kṛtaḥ mama guroh sakhe । yo me tvam īdṛśīm senām eko abhyarcitum iccasi ॥ ॥2-85-2॥
Translation
"O friend of my Guru (brother), you have indeed fulfilled a great wish of mine (honored me greatly), in that you alone wish to entertain/worship this entire army of such magnitude."
हिंदी अनुवाद
"हे मेरे गुरु (बड़े भाई राम) के सखा! आपने मेरी बहुत बड़ी कामना पूरी कर दी (अर्थात् मेरा बहुत बड़ा सत्कार कर दिया), जो आप अकेले ही मेरी इस विशाल सेना का आदित्य सत्कार करना चाहते हैं।"
English Commentary
This is a masterpiece of diplomatic grace. Bharata addresses Guha as "mama guroh sakhe" (Friend of my Guru/Elder Brother). By linking Guha to Rama ("Guru"), Bharata validates Guha's status. Bharata politely acknowledges the magnitude of Guha's offer—that a single tribal king is willing to feed an imperial army ("īdṛśīm senām"). Bharata states that the mere intention ("iccasi") and the grandeur of the wish ("ūrjitaḥ kāmaḥ") are enough to consider the hospitality fulfilled, gracefully preparing to decline the physical feast while accepting the emotional gesture.

भरत गुह को 'मम गुरोः सखे' (मेरे गुरु/बड़े भाई के मित्र) कहकर संबोधित करते हैं। यह संबोधन गुह के लिए सबसे बड़ा सम्मान है, क्योंकि यह उन्हें राम के परिवार के सदस्य के रूप में स्थापित करता है। भरत कहते हैं कि गुह का यह 'इच्छा' करना ही कि वे अकेले पूरी सेना को खिलाएंगे, अपने आप में एक 'ऊर्जित' (विशाल/शक्तिशाली) कार्य है। भरत वास्तविकता में भोजन ग्रहण न भी करें, तो भी वे गुह की भावना ('कामः') को ही सत्कार मानकर स्वीकार कर लेते हैं।
